The FAA has recently posted over 30 new ACS/PTS documents that will serve as updates to current documents, transitions from PTS for some documents, and new documents for new types of certification (primarily powered-lift aircraft).

DPEs and flight training industry professionals are encouraged to review these documents and provide feedback, which is currently due by January 11, 2023 (a 30-day period).

These updates represent a number of documents that had been held up in the regulatory process over the past couple of years. When the comment period is completed, comments will be considered and final rule and publication will be subsequent after that time. It is a reasonable expectation that we might see all of these documents finalized in 2023 for implementation.
