The FAAA has posted a notice in response to the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024 in which Congress mandated that the:

“FAA enhance its oversight of designated pilot examiners (DPEs) by, among other things, “[d]eploying a survey system to track the performance and merit of such examiners.”

The notice posted December 29th, 2025:

“Agency Information Collection Activities; Proposals, Submissions, and Approvals: Designated Pilot Examiners: Post Activity Survey”

DPEs and others engaged in the flight training community are encouraged to review this notice and provide public comment on the proposals no later than February 27, 2026.
