April 2, 2020 the FAA issued this following message for DPEs.

Attention DMS Users:

The integration between IACRA and DMS is complete and will be released to production by COB today, April 2, 2020. This release enables the functionality of the “Populate from IACRA” button on the DMS Post-activity report to auto-populate the PO report data fields with the data from IACRA.

Here are some things to know regarding the new fields on the post-activity report and the “Populate from IACRA” button:

• The preapproval number in IACRA will now be a required field.
  The “Populate from IACRA” functionality is now in place. This should eliminate some duplication of entries.

• When the post-activity report is populated from IACRA for a test in which a notice of disapproval was issued, DMS will import an image of the notice of disapproval from IACRA. The image will be available via a link on the bottom of the post-activity report. If you have a situation where the image is not available when it should be, please let the DMS team know via the feedback mailbox ([email protected]).

• We’ve changed the asterisk color by the applicant FTN number and application ID fields from RED to BLACK. Those fields are not required in order to submit a post-activity report. The report will go through even if those fields are blank. They are required only if the designee wants to auto-fill from IACRA. If the designee is doing a paper application, a proficiency check, or wishes to fill in the post-activity report manually, they can still submit with those fields blank.

• The application ID field will now accept more than six digits.
