The FAA has recently updated Advisory Circular (AC) 91-67A – Minimum Equipment Requirements for General Aviation Operations Under 14 CFR Part 91, § 91.213. The updated AC is effective 10/16/2023.

Pilots, CFIs, and DPEs are encouraged to review the updated AC guidance.

The FAA notes that:

This advisory circular (AC) describes acceptable methods for the operation of aircraft with certain inoperative instruments and equipment items, which are not essential for safe operations under Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) part 91, 133, or 137 (including part 91 operations conducted by parts 141 and 142 certificate holders (CH)).

Its content is directly applicable to multiple ACS and PTS testing document content areas.
